I don't even know if I will have to have a c section yet, but I want to ask as i like to be prepared.

Is there anything differant etc u need to tak in if ur having a c sec??
& also how many days after do u norm have to stay in hospital for?

also how many sleepsuits etc and nappies did u take in for baby as im guessing ull need more if ur staying in a few days?

Hey, I didn't prepare for a section as mine was an emergency, but looking back I should have brought:

A pack of nappies
6 babygros
6 vests
BIG pants that go over the scar
More maternity pads
Dark towels

I was in for two nights, three full days. People can always bring things in for you xx

^^^^ sounds about right. You dont need to take too much stuff - my room was actually quite small, people can bring stuff in for you. Defo big pants to go over scar. I had G on mon morning and was discharged thurs lunchtime - i opted to stay the extra night as we really struggled with breastfeeding.

I stayed 3 nights (hospital guideline) Definitely big knickers...i got some cheap 1's from tesco that went over my scar and i could throw away after, plenty of maternity pads, nappies and wipes (for u more than baby).
More nighties than usual...pj's arent great on ur scar and ul have a catheter in for a bit afterwards xx

Agreed on the big pants. Also one or two pairs of pj bottoms (I felt more comfortable in these thana nightie) that are really loose so they arent tight round your belly. I left the hospital in my pjs as I couldnt bring myself to wear proper trousers because of the waist band.

As Esoames said, 6 vests, 6 babygrows, pack of nappies.

Hope you dont have to have a section.

Thanks people, if I need to then I will just tell my mum these tings and get her to get me them :)
