sore throat :(

7 months of dodging ill people and i've finally caught something. my throat is sooo raw! ordinarily i would be on the lemsips and throat sprays but I can't even take those does anyone know if ordinary throat sweets like strepsals or lockets are ok?

I don't cope well with being ill at all - lol!

Lockets are ok but chemist said no to strepsils when I had a sore throat a few months ago. I made hot lemon and honey drinks instead of lemsip. Hope you feel better soon x

I had a sore throat a couple of weeks ago and my midwife said I couldnt take anything, only boiled sweets (as if they'd do anything??) I tried the honey and lemon but it only helped for about two minutes. My sore throat turned into a cold but didn't last long thankfully! Hope you feel better soon xxx

Poor you, hope you are feeling better soon! I work in a day nursery so im constantly around children with colds and all sorts of bugs but i have built up immunity now and havent been ill once throughout my pregnancy x

Hope you feel better soon. I had a bad throat in pregnancy and took sweets from Tesco like Tunes - they were OK. I also swear by Tyrozets

If you want to do natural route, try a small ball of butter then dipped in sugar - it coats your throat but not a long term relief
