Hi

My friend Skyraaa told me to come on here, as i have so many worries , I am pregnant again after a miscarriage in April i also already have a 5 year old son, however i cant stop worring everything is not ok i keep getting a bit of discharge which isnot blood but not clear either, also yesterday had a few tummy pains, i am only 7 weeks gone but i am in a state of panic everytime i go to the loo, i am worried that i will panic myself ill and i just cant settle. My doctor has said i have to wait till i am 12 weeks for a scan as they cant tell anything before my midwife refuses to take appointments until i am 8 weeks. is it unreasonable to say that i think they should keep more of an eye on me as i have already lost a baby??

Please help me v worried

Rach

Hi Rachie!

Welcome to the forum! I can totally appreciate how you are feeling, I was very anxious to the point of going mad at the start of this pregnancy following a missed MC in January, luckily so far everything seems to be going ok although I have had about 6 bouts of bleeding which haven't done my stress levels any favours! What your doc and MW have said with regards to not having a scan until 12 weeks and no MW appointments until 8 weeks sound pretty standard - I don't think they do reassurance scans unless you have suffered a couple of MCs although it seems different in different areas. I couldn't bear the anxiety and so booked in for a private scan at 10 weeks - I don't know if this is perhaps something you could consider just for the sake of your peace of mind? Just try and keep positive and remember that you have a great chance that this pregnancy will be absolutely fine xx

Also, there isn`t anything anyone can do to pevent the miscarriage, so dont worry that by not having a scan something vital will be missed that might prevent one. (Does that make sense)

Best of luck.

Jane xx

hiya hun may i be rude and ask the colour of the discharge? if it's not blood or old blood it could be that you have a infection and need to get checkked out asap it could be the reason for your pains however it could be just normal cervical mucus but please get checked out just incase
also i wanted to say that it's a new sperm and a new egg and the chances of mc again are low     try to be positive and enjoy your pregnancy
just wanted to add that my midwifes wouldn't seem me till i was 8 weeks and i don't get a scan till i'm 12 weeks either so i sympafise

Good luck today

It's only natural to feel the way you do but I had a similar situation to you, went for a scan and all was fine. Will keep my fingers crossed that it's the same for you too
