Sigh of relief!

Well I have my Doppler and I unpacked it straight away put the gel on and set to work. I couldn't find the baby at all and I was getting more and more anxious so in the instructions it said to move around so I did andstill nothing but swishing I was almost hysterical when finally I heard it upwards left side the beautiful sound of my babies heart I counted to make sure it wasn't mine I got about 152is beats per minute which is definatley baby not me! I have never felt so relieves in my life. I think it is probably cos I am a complete ameteur at it and was looking in completely the wrong place to start. Found LO quite low down still. I an gonna do a recording in a min and send it to OH at least I know where to look now!
My advice although some ppl find hb early try and hold off as long as poss to save panic lol I know MW will prob find it easy cosshe knows what she is doing! Lol

That's good news! Its surprising how low you have to go at 13 weeks or so! Even now I found baby's hb in middle of my belly button and pubic bone! Makes you wonder what all this bump really is! (hope its not blubber lol!)

Yeah still quite low.....Found mine mainly on the left side. I havent been able to get a recording of it as i aint got any portable little speakers, So only recorded through headphones . But just so glad we have eventually heard it .

YAY - its fab innit?? It was always very very low down early days - right at pubic bone - well just above. I too had to wiggle it from left to right but still pretty much in the middle. Hey - even my midwife struggled to hear my baby's heartbeat on Tuesday and I'm 31 weeks! Its an art!!

I hooked it up to the computer and recorded baby that way, I sent it to my hubby when he was off shore so he got to hear it too.

I found baby very low as well hun.
When the midwife used the doppler on me for the first time, my mum was thinking, "My God, she's putting that doppler a bit too close to my daughters foof". But that's where we picked up heartbeat That was at 12 weeks 6 days!

Baby is still pretty low now. Haven't used the doppler for over a week though.xxx
