I went to sleep quite early lastnight, like 12 (early for me) and was fast asleep within minutes.. Anyway, i got woken up at about half 1 with the most horrendous period pains i have ever felt in my life.. should i be worried? they were horrible, it was like the ones i used to get before i went on the pill and my period would arrive.. I havent had ANY bleeding at all although i kept waking up pretty much every hour to keep checking that i haven't

I feel so worried now that something is going to go wrong.. This pain only seemed to last about 10 minutes maximum, but it was horrible and made me really concerned :( im fine this morning, but just so worried

Hi hun

A few weeks ago the very same thing happened to me. I went to bed as i had awful crampy pains, was very worried too.

I think mine was trapped wind, its very painful and literally caused me to double up. This is really common in pregnancy so try not to worry.

No blood is a good sign. I had a m/c in December and the first signs were bleeding for me so i dont think you have anything to worry about.

Hope your feeling alot better today.

xxxxxxxx

I keep telling myself that everythings fine if there is no blood.. I really do hope it was just wind.. I know im so early on but im so attached to this baby already :(
Sorry to hear about your m/c glittergirl

My friend was recently getting really bad pains in her tummy (in the first few weeks of being pg). The doctor would not give her an early scan because there was no blood and the pains were in the middle of her tummy (I think if the pain is to one side it can indicate an ectopic pregnancy). She was so worried that she paid for an early scan and luckily everything is fine

If you get the pains again I would consult your GP or M/W. I think period type pains are normal but anything stronger you should probably just let your doc know.

I had REALLY bad pains the other day and thought something was wrong, but it turned out to be trapped wind! :rotfl:

Hope everything is OK

Thanks Sally, thats reassured me.. Thank you..
It wasn't to on side, it was just generally in my lower stomach, like where normal period pains happen.. If this was like 3 years ago and i was expecting my period those pains would have been totally normal.. Sigh. I can't wait to get my scan done.

I wouldnt worry growing pains and af paiuns are very similar, what you have to remember is that little bean is developing quick and your uterus isnt used to it so its bout to be painfull, dont worry

Midna - i havent even attempted to have sex since findin out i was pregnant haha..

The pains seem to have gone away now, i havent been feeling much all day, and nothing as serious as lastnight..
Hoping its all going ok in there

I had no pains or bleeding when i miscarried!!

But when i was pregnant with DS a few times i had pains so bad i was doubled over. And he is now 11 months, lol!

So as the others say, unless there is pain and bleeding try not to worry. But if it would put your mind at ease see the GP. Thats what they are there for :)

xx
