I know I'm a couple of weeks away from being able to hear the HB on the angelsounds but I thought I'd try anyway. I always use body lotion if I haven't got any gel but its left me with a horrific rash on my stomach! I've never had sensitive skin but no matter what I put on my stomach it seems to burn my skin!!
its not an itchy rash it just burns like hell.
I even tried water which seemed to make it worse.
    has anyone had anything similar?

Skin is more sensitive in pregnancy, maybe that's why? E45 cream might help the rash

I got hives really bad in my last pregnancy. I wasn't sure what was causing them.

Can you use baby oil? That's what I used with the Doppler xx

I think I'm going to have to wait until the rash goes down before I try again with the Doppler. Its far too early to heart the hb anyway x

Try coconut oil to soothe your skin and for the oil for the doppler. I'd avoid anything chemically.

I don't know what works best with dopplers, but like for moisturising babies' skin or doing baby massage it's recommended you use a food oil rather than baby oil (like coconut or olive oil) :)
