I was just wondering if anyone is in the same boat as I am where it concerns "morning" sickness.

I started with morning sickness at 6 weeks pregnant and had it absolutely horrendously from 8 weeks till I was 14 weeks, to the point where I literally couldnt be very far away from a bathroom and no food or methods helped me. I went to the doctors when I was 7 weeks and was prescribed cyclizine (sp) but found that the tablets didnt help at all but I never went back to ask for advice and help as I couldnt stomach sitting in the waiting room for any length of time lol!

From 15 weeks to 17 weeks I was quite busy and went on holiday and then spent a week away from home working. In those 2 weeks I didnt suffer from any sickness at all but as soon as I came home it started again :(!

Im 22 weeks on Tuesday and the sickness is still here and very much controlling me! I did however have a few days at 20 weeks where the sickness disappeared and it was pure bliss

Im going to attempt to go back and see my GP to seek guidance but was wondering if any of you have been through the same thing or are going through the same thing as I am right now and how you coped.

I thought I would have been free of it at 16 weeks but it really shows no of disappearing any time soon.

:hugs: i suffered really badly with my eldest up until nearly 6 months :(

I know most books/info say it should disappear around 16 weeks but not always sadly!!

Only way i dealt with it was to eat little and often, not much help i know

(i too couldnt go 2 yards without being sick, theres photos of me somewhere in the family with a bucket constantly by my side!)

Really hope it b*ggers off soon for you xxxx

I am in a very similar situation, Hunnie - except I was never actually sick, just extremely nauseous. It was rather crippling in Tri I, not quite as bad now, but it's definitely still around. Mint brings it on instantly, so does eating fresh fruit.

I'm 24 weeks and still feeling/being sick so I've given in and had a months supply of anti sickness tabs from the Dr. I've lost so much weight that at 6 months pregnant I now fit clothes I was too fat for pre pregnancy and still don't have a bump!

That sounds awful :( hope you're not feeling too bad at the minute! I took about 6 of my anti sickness tablets over the space of 3 days and found that they either made me really sleepy once I sat down or didnt help the sickness at all and I also developed a nasty rash at the same time as I was taking them so they are now in the bin!

ISH, Im also constantly nauseous but at times it worsens. The smell of OHs mother's house knocks me sick more often than not and usually I can cope with it but today I couldnt step two feet inside without wanting to throw up (which isn't helped by the fact I also cannot stand the smell of her bathroom!). They arent even horrible smells which is the infuriating thing but they just make my stomach turn instantly :(
