Ok are they safe to eat? On the old mother & baby forum it said yes

yeah there safe unless there is a family history of nut allergy

I read something that said if you have any allergy in your family avoid peanuts. I have asthma so am avoiding them x

I have hayfever and I haven't been avoiding them

I think everything in moderation is ok otherwise we wouldn't eat anything

this is one of the areas that apparently more research needs to be done.

Currently the health bodies say that you should avoid eating peanuts if either you or your partner have any allergies (asthma, hayfever etc)

Personally I don't buy into it and I've eaten some peanuts during my pregnancy. Also if you look at cereals and biscuits and chocolates etc you'll find that most of them contain traces of nuts (peanut mainly) so at the end of the day we're probably not avoiding them even when we think we are!

i thought it was just nut allergies, thats what my MW said

I'd have a few, not a whole bag, I eat the odd snickers etc.
