sad scan

Hi
I had a second reasurance scan today and the nurse found that my little one had no heart beat I was 8 weeks. I had 2 specialists come in to confirm there was no sight and no sound they think it happened in the last day or two as everything had progressed since my 6 week scan, i feel completly numb, i have to go tomorrow for tablets to expel the loss, and that makes me feel even stranger that it is still there,
They have told me that they are going to see me again in two weeks and then in a month or so's time to start tests on why this might be happening.
I dont feel bitter just sick and i know there is nothing i could have done to stop it

I'm so sorry. I know how awful it is to know that the baby is still there, but there is no life left. I felt some closure once the procedure was over ( I had a D&C). I'll be thinking about you tomorrow.

I was going to ask for the surgical proceedure but i have been advised to use the tablets but that means taking one and then coming back in 2 days and taking another 2 tablets 4 hours apart i just want it to be over . I start my new job on christmas eve.............. its at the hospital am being treated in on the miscarriage, abortion and cancer ward, am going to speak to the matron tomorrow and tell her what is happening and see if she advises postponing my start date until the new year, but part of me would rather get stuck in to work

Only you know how you feel about going to work but I think it's a good idea to have a chat with the matron and see what she suggests.

Thankyou all for your kind words.
I have taken my first tablet yesterday but there is no signs of anything yet which i am relieved about because i would much rather it all happen in the hospital and will be taking my next 2 tommorrow, my husband is trying to stay strong for me am trying to stay strong for him if anything it has brought us even closer which i never thought was possible.
Am dreading tommorrow not the best sircumstances to be meeting your new work collegues, and i will speak to the nurse incharge about when am starting work there.

I know it's not the best circumstances to meet your new collegues but on the other hand at least they will know what a fragile state you're in and will be able to support you when you start work, especially if you find any areas of your work difficult for recent personal reasons.
