Yesterday we after we picked Brian up from the airport we went for a drive down to Galveston.... which was the worst hit place by Hurricane Ike in Sept last year..... I took some pics, some of the things to see were so sad... I was in tears

(some are a bit blurry as they were taken from the car)

When we were there, there were lots of people working on getting their homes back up and when you drive past they all smile and wave, even tho they lost everything.... makes you put things in perspective

It's nice to hear that people are in good spirits over it though- it must be awful to lose your home and possesions like that :(

Aw bless them :(

We don't realise how fortunate we are with our cold/wet country

Despite the wreckage it actually looks like a gorgeous place!

Sarah I am soooo jealous. I need to find me an American! (I nearly said Yank and realised I'd probably be shot down in flames! )
