Rh - blood type?

Does anyone else have a Rh - blood type?

I have to have Anti D injections towards the end of my pregnancy to make sure there are no complications. Other than that i dont know a great deal about it.

I just wondered if anyone else has the same thing?

Hiya,

I'm RH neg. and had my anti-D injections at 28 weeks and at 34 weeks. It basically means that if your baby has a posittive blood group & yours & babies blood gets mixed up during labour your body will develop antibodies because it see's it as a forgein object, so in future pregnancies you immune system will fight it off & it'll cause problems.

Once baby is born they take a sample of blood from the umbilical cord to determine blood typr & then have 72 hours to give you another injection if baby is positive. If baby is negative then you don't need another one.

I have that blood type too,nicki has explained it all really,this is my third pregnancy and I have been fine thanks to the anti-D,don't worry about it just means a few extra jabs xx

Hey i needed that during my pregancy it stings when you have it, i needed it when i was three months pregant cos of car crash, and you have it soon after you have your baby can't remember how soon after though blocked it out.

I'm A Rh neg and have to have the anti -D.

I've already had one a couple of weeks ago because I lost some blood,
they are not pleasant, mine hurt!!

My hospital does them in the arm now (they used to do them in the bum, some hospitals still do apparently) and it went dead for a few hours afterwards.

I hope you have a better experience than me!

a RH negative. i w9ill be havin my injection in a few weeks time. i hate injections but i have to have it.
