Reopening old scars/wounds

Hi, after just writing a post in a different thread I've just kind of realised how scared I am of my episiotomy scar ripping open in labour this time round.

anyone who had an episiotomy, what was your experience like the second time around?

my scar is 3 years old and tbh I only know its there now as I've started perineum massage. its actually pretty tight and me trying to stretch it is uncomfortable

I had an episiotomy with my first and then my son was born 13 months later and I had no tears x
3 years should be okay?

Thanks for replying, I've barely thought about it all the way through pregnancy but as the end gets nearer everything is suddenly worrying me. Hopefully I will hear some more of other people's experiences before my time comes

bless you, i'm sure it will all be okay it's natural to worry... i'm on my third and I'm still a mess!!

best thing is to just go with whatever happens (i'm a hypocrite for saying this!) but we can't control anything 100%.. I'm trying to remember this too at the moment! x
