You'll have to look at your contracts but generally I believe dad's get 3 weeks paternity (just gone up). And moms are entitled to take reasonable days off for appointments. Why does she not get maternity pay through work? I thought, like sick and holiday employers had to offer that?
She is entitled to paid time off to attend all antenatal appointments recommended by the midwife (including travel time) but she may need to take in proof of the appointment depending on her employer's policy. You aren't unfortunately, but some employers do so anyway.
