Random appointment?

I have a midwife appointment a week on Monday and a follow up scan two weeks after that to check low lying placenta. Today I've had an appointment card in for an appointment with a doctor I don't know at the hospital for a scan and antenatal clinic?

The only thing I can think of apart from the placenta thing is that we were told that I might be referred to the consultant because we were so unsure of due dates.

Any ideas? Will phone the EPAU tomorrow to see if they can tell me anything.

Turns out it's a scan and appointment with the consultant to review the situation about my low-lying placenta. Not sure if the scan I had booked for February is double booked now! The lady said it shouldn't be anything to worry about as they would have contacted me by phone otherwise. Phew!

Yeah, that's normal. Everytime I have my growth scans I always see a consultant after, even if it's just to say everything went well with the scan, and also they decide whether you will need to be seen again.
