Hello

I am 12 weeks pregnancy. I eat whatever I want, but I am careful at what food should be avoided such as raw eggs...etc. I usually eat properly cooked eggs or cakes. But I'd like to know if it is okey to eat dessert, part of which is made from eggs from fridge in shop. The label does not mention word pasteurized eggs and milks. Is it ice cream to eat during pregnancy?

I was advised not to eat much nutrition in Vit A. Is it right? I love to eat cherries which is in A vit. Does it harm my unborn baby?

Hope to hear from you soon

 hi linda, check the Government health guidelines for pregnant woman...your get all your answers on there..... google it for site address... as for shop bought cakes.. I am sure they will be fine... many big companies use powered egg in mixtures now so no worried there... the ice-cream is also fine.... but try to avoid any home made stuff like mayo.. as that carries higher salmonella risks and in turn can be fatal to baby. But I think you are already eating a good SAFE diet..... so keep up the good work... Avoid too much caffine products (2 sm cups a day max) and enjoy your healthy pregnancy... hope this helps a little.... lv Yvonne xx
