Technically, you are in week 27 girls

When it says 26 +2 it means you have completed 26 weeks and are now on the second day of your 27th Week - so technically in Tri 3!

Well you've past 12 weeks and now in your 13th so when you're ticker say's 13+1 you are in your 14th week so I guess what we need to do is work out if the trimesters start at the begining of the 13th and 27th week or when you are 13 & 27 weeks

Check the bar at the top of the page week 12 is the last week in the first tri and 26 is the FIRST week in the third so god knows!

Ahh, that explains my confusion then, i always thought with my previous preggies tri 2 started at 12 weeks, when i joined the forum i thought i had had it all wrong for the last 10 years

LMAO it's so confusing isn't it. Noone seems to agree on the trimesters. I think we should just stick to you move when you get to 13 and 27 weeks since that's what everyone's been doing! To those who are confused by the week 12/12 weeks issue, think about it in terms of birthdays. When a baby is born, it is in it's first year of being alive. When it has its first birthday, it's reached the end of its first year and is one year old. So in the same way, when you get pregnant (well, two weeks before, but you know what I mean) you are in your first week of pregnancy, but you are not a week pregnant until the end of the week. HTH! It took me ages to get my head round it.

The way I've always seen it is that you go to tri 2 when you've completed 13 whole weeks (so are at the start of week 14 - ie 13+1 - 13 whole weeks plus 1 day of week 14), and tri 2 when you've completed 26 whole weeks (so at the start of week 27 ie 26+1)

It makes sense in my head, but when I write it down it just gives me brain ache!!
