Question about scan dates

Last night I tried to work out how I can be 13 weeks now and can't figure it out!!! My LMP was 5 March, ovulation 14 days later, which puts me at around 12 weeks. How can I be 13, when my period was only 12 weeks ago?! Is it all done by measurements? In which case, I guess baby's measuring big for dates. Confused

My lmp was 6th March and my scan has out me at 11+4 today. Everyone ovulates at different times, they just go with mid cycle as an average and then there's no guarantee how quick or slow implantation is.
When I had my son, for my scan dates to work out i had to have ov'd only about 4 days before af was due.

Well im measuring 2-3 weeks less than expected
So sperm must have lived in me for about 10 days to make those dates work!!

You might just have big bub x

I think the thing is, usually you're dated earlier than you thought rather than later. Plus I know the date I ovulated as I was using the Clearblue ovulation kit. Has to be a big baby, I guess! Might ask the mw when I see her next.
