question about cervix

Can anybody tell me if the cervical opening should be closed or open just a few days before a period is due or does it open the day the period comes.

Hi,

It should be firm, low and closed at this time. it only softens and opens around the time of ovulation. Hope that helps.

thanks bagpuss, just wishing and hoping i could of been pregnant, guess not cause its low now but high this morning. Took a first response too yesterday and it was negative. i am due on on the 4th or the 6th of oct. getting AF pains anyway. Thanks for your reply.

Ahh, it's horrible isn't it. I'm expecting my AF on wednesday but it looks like it's here a bit early.

We'll have to try for July babies instead
