...but, why is it we're always told women are pregnant for 9 months when in actual fact it's 10?

I'm 28 weeks, 7 months tomorrow but i have 12 weeks until me edd?? Am u being completely stupid?? :-/ xx

Lol because not every month is exactly 4 weeks so you divide 40 weeks by 9 to get how many 'weeks' is a month 4.44444444444444 and then the amount of weeks you are you divide by 4.4444444444 and that gives you how many months you are. But yes I agree really it's 10 months!!!! X

April 5 months
May 6 months
June 7 months
July 8 months and august 9 months!? And my due date is august 8th. Where does month 10 come in!? Xx

Most ppl count a month as four weeks so 40 /4 is 10 months....that's the confusion x

Oh! Ok. I never look at it that way as I get paid 4 weekly and know theres one month of the year I get paid twice yay! It still means, looking at my dates, that im pregnant for 9 months and 1 week lol x

13 weeks is 3 months. So at 26 weeks you are 6 months pregnant, so at 28 weeks your actually 6 and a half months.

The only month that is 4 weeks long is February, all the other months are either 30 or 31, so almost 4 and a half weeks.
