I have a scan tomorrow a private one booked because babies dad missed the 11-12 week scan which was thankfully normal

tomorrow is coming around and I had a moment of pure excitement and couldnt wait to see the baby but then it turned to fear and some anxiety incase I go and get told the worse like something dreadful has happened in three weeks....literally almost crying.

i felt the same, had a private at 7 then my 12 week on Tuesday.

i couldn't pick anything up on the doppler so instantly thought something had happened within them 5 weeks, of course everything was fine and it took ages to get the measurements because the baby wouldn't stop moving!

there is always something to worry about, try and look forward to seeing your little one

I think we all have those feelings I don't think there's one scan I've walked in to that I haven't felt very scared or anxious, I have another private scan booked for this weekend and although I'm excited I'm also concerned that maybe the baby's not growing at the right rate etc. Try and stay positive X

well ladies....
we had the scan as most of you know alot of private scans that aren't nhs they arent diagnostic. so we got to listen to the babies heart beat first and it was so loud it took us all back loud and strong
..
then we got a good look at baby and the scan was h.d so better quality than nhs in my opinion
the lady doing it said in her opinion with the scans it looks like we have a little boy growing in there as she said the bits looked a little too big to be girls.
the baby was wriggling like mad sucking it's thumb, pulling on the placenta, kicking the 3d scan we didn't see much but it looked so small at first and then saw all the detail! over whelmed.

she did ask if i had had a dating scan which I had and the hospital said i was 11+2 which would make me 14+2 for that private scan xx
