Pregnancy loss and IUI and twins

Hello all - I am 40 and just experienced a very sad pregnancy loss last week. Do you know about how long doctors would want to wait before trying an IUI? Also, if you have done IUI before, do doctors normally recommend with medication? I would like the IUI to be successful, but am worried about the potential for twins/multiples (as our life is already a bit crazy!!).

Hi I’m sorry to hear of your loss. IUI should not increase your risk factors of twins if you use it on a natural cycle. It not usually medicated, so your chances are the same as with a normal conception.
They would probably advise to wait until you’ve had a period to try again. Good luck x
