Preeclampsia in family

Hi,

Little advice, been having a catch up with my friend whose baby is now 6 months, she was hospitalised from 25 and gave birth at 32 due to preeclampsia, now it turns out that because her mum had it she should have had a consultant appointment and been put on aspirin from 2nd trimester.

I'm now worried because my mum also had it from 30 weeks which my midwife is aware of but I haven't been offered a doctor's appointment.

Has anyone heard of this? I'm thinking of calling up.

My friend was started on aspirin a few weeks ago due to her mum having had preeclampsia so id say to mw again if theres anything u should be taking xx

I had pre eclampsia in my last pregnancy she was delivered at 38 weeks absolutely fine. I'd ask at your next mw appointment I'm seeing a consultant when I'm 22 weeks but that's because I had a c-section.

Its more than likely i have preeclampsia so being checked weekly so hoping il be delivered earlier too xx
