Hello all, My partner and I are trying to have a baby. She came off from contraceptive pills 5 months ago, after 17 years. 5 days ago we had a solid smiley face on the ovulation test. 2 days ago she started to experience period-type bleeding (not spotting) and it hasn't stopped. We are reading about implantation and ovulation bleeding but the timing and/or characteristics don't match. I am worried for her health. Did anyone experienced anything similar? Her period is usually 28-29 and this was our first smiley face on clearblue ovulation strip. Also we never had the flashing smiley face, only the solid one. Many thanks Greg
Hi, I don’t think that sounds like implantation bleeding as this typically happens 6-10 days after ovulation if you’ve conceived, I’d maybe get her to call her GP if you’re worried. I used clear blue when TTC and I only got the solid smiley when I conceived, it may be that she had her surge during the night so when she’s tested again she’s hit her peak. hope you get some answers! I'm sorry I'm late here. How have you got on? Are you sure she wasn't pregnant before the Clearblue OPK?
