Please help with my test result

Hi all, I am new on here and wasn't sure where to post this, so please move it if its on the wrong board. I have had a feeling that I was pregnant for a couple of weeks, I already have 3 children, I have the implant but that runs out soon and have been told they can run out early, I have been having regular periods (which is unusual for me while having this implant) for 4 months but I haven't had one now for 6 weeks. I have been off food/alcholol/tired all the usual symptoms so I did a test today, I used one of the first step strips, well there is a definite red/pink line on the control bit but on the test line it is a really thick white line?? I have never come accross this before and always have had 2 pink lines with a positive or 1 for a negative. I am desperate to know, I am at the doctors on wednesday anyway so going to ask for a test then but until then I am just so confused. Please can anyone shed some light, thanks. x

All you can do is re test hun. sounds like it;s either a dud test or an evaporation line. Either way you really need to test again if you dont want to wait until weds

Hey Ruth, when i did my 30 pregnancy tests haha i had a similar thing. My first test had a dark purple line but when you moved it in the light there was also anouther line, although it was kinda whitish colour i knew it was there. Over the next week i did a few tests a day and every day more a less the "white" line became more and more purple until eventually there were 2 thick purple lines.

Maybe try anouther test in the morning on your first visit to the toilet...thats when the pregnancy hormone is at its highest they say!! I suppose you'll have to wait till you see the doc hun to know for sure, not long to wait.

I know I should do another one thanks, gonna send hubby to tesco I think in a bit to get me one. He is busy at the mo doing Diy lol, I really want to know, its just so odd as like I said I have never seen anything like it before.

did you re test i just off implant and i had tests coming up like an extra water line i would call it to start with but i have gone through aprox 25 8 being bef purple and purple lines they told me it would wear off around 'set' time too and if i wanted it removed a couple months before hand i could have but i had had it removed way before than any way as was trying for #3 x x x did you retest?
