Period Pains

All day I've been getting period like pains. The bottom of my back is achey and my stomach is all that crampy way when you know your period is coming. Its really uncomfortable. Is this normal at around this stage? I get back pain anyway but this feels different xx

I've been having period type pains on and off for a few weeks. Mostly at night and they stick around for quite a long time - I spoke with my midwife about it and she said that it is uterus stretching/baby growing. Also, baby has turned and is now head down and starting to engage, so it could be that too. Hope that's helpful.
