    Anybody started this yet?

Im not sure I like the idea of doing it but according to my pregnancy book I should start now (at 33 weeks) for it to have any effect.

What kind of thing should I use, book says olive oil but is that okay to use if your somebody who gets thrush/utis all the time?

I have no clue about this I think I'm going to have to do some more research!

The netmums website has a section on it somewhere. They reccommend it to all their pregnant mums and say it really works and is worth it. I haven't done it, but was going to have a proper read up before I start doing things too early lol I guess it just depends on each of us individually and whether we're happy enough doing things like that, but if it really helps it's gota be worth a try right?! Lol!

It was talked about in our antenatal sessions. I totally like the idea of having it done to reduce the risk of tearing, I'm just not someone that can either do that to myself or have oh do it for me.

That said, I'm probably going to wish I'd given it a go after ive torn from fromt to back and they've stitched me up!!!!!

A few of the ladies at my aquanatal class were discussing this and one lady gets her husband to do it! as it gets them in the mood????..... no thanks!

I may have a read up but I don't fancy thumbing myself either!

I did this from 36 weeks. Mothercare do a massage oil you can use. Can't say whether it worked or not as I ended up having an episiotomy due to a lengthy labour. It won't do any harm though! xx
