Penelope Leach's 'Your Baby and Child'

Hi,

My mother-in-law has bought me this book, and i've read lots already......it's so informative and it's great because it's full of really usefull stuff, from newborns right up to toddler age....such as feeding, sleeping, everyday care and learning curves. My baby is'nt due to June so can't wait to actually be doing the real thing!!!

I would recommend this book, and my mother-in-law got mine from Amazon!

I finally went and bought it and it's great!!!

PL is not prescriptive in the way that some books are. She gives some options and explains the benefits and drawbacks. For example she gives various different bedtime solutions and runs through why each might or might not work for you. Very good.

Also it's very baby centred. She's explaining it from the point of view of this tiny new person who doesn't understand what we understand and is being bombarded by new experiences, sensations, and emotions.

I would highly recommend it to anyone with a small baby!!!

My DH bought me the book 12.5 years ago at Victoria Station, London. I was expecting our first baby - I've still got it...... 3 babies later!
