Paternity Time & Pay

Does anyone know when your hubby is supposed to tell his employer about his paternity leave? How do you go about telling them?
We have no idea, they know Im pregnant but havent mentioned ipaternity things at all!

We work together so they all know, I know he's entitled to 3 days full pay then up to 2wks Stat paternity pay.

You should speak to HR if they have a department there

I'm sure I read that he has to inform them when he wants to take his paternity leave at the same time you inform of when you want to take your maternity leave, i.e. 25 weeks.
He's entitled to up to 2 weeks leave at the £106 per week.

Im appalled at the amount of materinty pay we are entitled, £106 a week for 20 weeks does not cover even household bills etc let alone a new born baby!!!

I dont want to give up work altogether but starting to wonder that I may be better off on the social!

I'm lucky where I work the mat pay is enhanced you get 6 weeks full pay then 12 weeks on £200 a week or normal salary if less and then 8 weeks on stat mat pay!
