Pains in foo!!!

All day I've been getting shooting pains in my foof! is this just my cervix getting itself sorted or something?
I have had a dodgy tum all day (bottom end sorry tmi) and now I just feel out of sorts and a bit like I could throw up.
I wonder if it's all gonna kick off again tomorrow after being prodded by the midwife 4 weeks after it happened the last time

Has anyone else been getting the shooting pains at all or anyone had them before? That's what I started the thread for and then went off on one

god knows what's going on hopefully the midwife will give me some idea tomorrow morning when I see her. It's probably just all the joys of late pregnancy lol x

should you not call the labour ward hun? i thought if u have the runs it was a sign of labour (might be completely making that up but dont you 'clear' yourself out?!)

i've not had any foof pains hunny so not sure what to advise, hope ur ok xxxx

Thinking about it I could put it down to eating a fair few grapes though the baby is still active so I'm not worried on that front. Also, no more b/h's than normal just getting creamy cm but this is not at all jelly like etc. I'll head to bed shortly - maybe Pea's just starting to engage a bit more? Chunky monkey in there so I guess it's no wonder that I'm feeling the pressure lol x

This sort of thing happening though is really making me panic that my waters will break in our bed. It was hugely bloody expensive and CANNOT destroy it with waters. I may have to get myself a rubber sheet or something

Yeah I'm sure on dates. I got my pos opk and ov pains all at the same time, I thought I was getting another cyst lol. Then my scans at 6,8 and 12 weeks confirmed I was bang on with the day of conception.
Only started to measure ahead at 20 weeks, by 3 days and has just sprouted from there last scan showed over 2 weeks ahead, the wee chunk lol.
Thanks pos I'll be sure to let you know if it is anything but I'm probs just being over dramatic cos of last month lol xx

Yeah maybe get a mattress protector or something. Lol I'm terrified of ruining the carpet! I live in a rented house and don't wanna lose my deposit!!! lol. I heard though that Marks & Spencers apparantly give you a free gift if your waters break in their store. I might start walking round closer to my date and ruin their floor instead and get a freebie out of it too
Seriously though try not to panic about anything it could be as you say baby just engaging more. Just stay calm and call the midwife if it's worrying you xx

I always get shooting pains hun, I mentioned it to my midwife and she said it's baby lying on a nerve/pressure from baby.
I've also had a dodgy tummy the past few days and I feel really sick tonight
Apparently your body flushes itself out before you have the baby (yuck) so perhaps that's what is going on with our bodies. It's really unpleasant though!

Just remember that baby is really big now, and labour is not too long away either, your body is doing all sorts of preparation. xxx

Ive had the shooting pain a couple of times this weekend, but just for a split second so put it down to baby being on a nerve or something, he likes to make me as uncomfortable as possible
I think i may sleep on a couple of towels when i get closer to due date just in case waters go, im terrified of them going in public! Lol x

hi ive been having shooting pains like electric shocks in my foof x i went for a nice long walk on sat and all sat night i had these pains x think lo was getting into position but kept clenching as thought hed just pop out lol xxx

Well there was nothing else over night so perhaps it was just the way I was sat last night I have a feeling these next few weeks are gonna be full of wondering if "this is it" x

I get these pains too and have done from about 27 weeks, the still happen now fairly regularly. I assumed it was baby's head getting into position. They have stopped me in my tracks a few times they can be quite painful.
