I'm sure she is fine other wise I'm sure she would let you know.
It's scary but they are bound to get a few knocks and bumps.
Summer was on the bed yesterday and I turned my back for a second, as I turned back round she was rolling off the bed!
It was like something out of a film, I caught her JUST as she was about to
hit the floor.
Aww hun you are not a bad mum. Believe me worse things will happen!
Thea is currently sporting a black eye which is just one of the many many bumps and bruises we have had so far!
dont feel bad hun i remember when christopher was 6/y7 months i had washed his highchair straps but forgot t put them back on so i took the tray away and before i knew it he had gone crashing to the floor, thankfully it was carpet and very thick but he missed the fire place which was slate by a foot. but he wasnt riht so we rang 999 thanikfully he was fine just concussed.
one thing the paramedic said to me..as i was panicking id wasted there time
"with an infant under three never hesitate a head injury even if infant seems happy after a bangto the head if it was a hard bang to the head "always" seek medical advice as there heads are soft and bleeding inside the head can be more common than its thought but not always spotted until the child begins to deteriate by then inside the head has got to a critical level."
not tryin to scare u all but the consultant told me we had done the right thing by rushin him in as head injuries are common in young children but some times they can be serious and we dont notice it.
my advice hun is if she has a lump he has obviously fallen hard..ring the nhs direct or go to ur GP just to have her checked out
Babies bounce...well within reason!! Finn launched himself headfirst off the bed the other day - I propped him up on the pillows and next thing I know, he's tumbled off. His pram tipped over too and he lived to tell the tale. I think you feel worse than they do!
