I don't have room for a nursery lol. 2 bedroom house, my older two are in one room & I'm in the other with the baby. Even if I had a 3rd bedroom my eldest would have that room and baby would still be in with me til they were old enough to share with my daughter lol. x
It looks lovely. We haven't done anything yet as we've got to relocate some bookcases and shelves to make space for the second cot and chest of drawers. We were going to leave it a few months (first baby was in with us for 8 months) but we haven't got anywhere for baby's clothes so probably should make a start sooner rather than later... I'm working on a cross stitch birth sampler for the wall as I did one for first and we'll probably buy a few wall stickers to brighten that side of the room.
Mines is very plain as I don't know the sex. Basically magnolia with a few Winnie the Pooh wall arts. I really like it though - makes me excited walking into the room xx
We've piled all of the baby's stuff in a tiny box room - it's very... modern art? Ha! We thought we might try to rent somewhere bigger before baby needs its own room, but it's not looking that likely now lol - I might do some artwork though to add a bit of colour whenever I organise that room though. Yours is looking great - OH looks on the case! Good stripes and dots combo
Looks good Charlene! I painted 2wk ago and new carpet installed by fitters 1wk ago. DH is finishing cutting in tonight and replacing plug sockets and installing new light fixture. Think we're gonna build the furniture on Friday afternoon b/c DH wants our room back and free of flat pack! (Ignore curtains they aren't staying )
I did it last time but found it pointless. As lovely as it looked, they only go in it at 6 months and then they soon become toddlers and it's too babyish for them and you end up decorating again. Sons room is now Mickey Mouse clubhouse decor. Nursery furniture was a waste of money too for me. I never used the changing table. Always did it on my knee or on the mat on the sofa for ease. I won't be going daft again this time like I did last time. I know it was all excitement but I soon realised it was quite a waste of time & money. We're hoping to have moved by the time baby is born but their room will be last to do as he/she will be in with us for first 6 months so as long as my sons room & our room are done by the time I have the baby, I will be happy xx
