Hello, I'm only about 4 days after AF due (with positive tests from weekend) and already I feel moody - is this normal? I keep thinking my stomach period is coming because my stomach feels weird (I know that's normal), but today, I've been feeling really agitated and tearful. I even felt sick a few times. Surely it's too early for me to be feeling like this? I'm feeling all "wobbly" wondering how I'll cope with pregnancy/having a baby again, but at the same time worried something might go wrong...

I was just wondering whether this was just because I now know I'm pregnant that I'm suddenly aware of all these "symptoms". Or has anyone else noticed their moods changing/feeling sick and tearful this early on?

I'd really like to hear how anyone else felt at such an early stage. Oh, and if this is week 4 of my pregnancy, is the gestational age of the baby 2 weeks? Although I already have two children, it's been a few years and I've forgotten all of this stuff. :?

Sorry, I just wanted a bit of a moan and some advice.

Hi WendyWandy,

First of all congratulations

I was moody and tearful before I found out I was pregnant so think its quite normal.

If you are 4 weeks pregnant then you are right in saying the gestational age of baby is 2 weeks because he/she would have been conceived around 2 weeks after first day of last period xxx

Forgot to ask, are you copying the BB code into your signature when you're trying to add it to your profile? Thats the one you need x

Thanks for your reply, Snuggle - I feel better now. Thanks too for explaining the ticker thing to me (I had asked in a few other posts). I had really wanted to see my own ticker - makes it seem more "real" somehow!

I was monitoring my ovulation (by cm checking) and this month, my cycle was only due to be 23 days - I tested positive on day 24. All of these calculators use the 'average' 28 day cycle though, so I'm not sure of my due date. I am putting a test into the doctor's tomorrow though, which will take a few days for the result. After that, I'll get my booking appointment with a midwife, so I'll perhaps have a better idea by then.

It's probably silly, but I'm worried about putting my test into the doctors in case they tell me I'm not pregnant after all! I remember thinking that at my scan with my first baby too - they couldn't find him and had to do a vaginal scan (seemingly it was more difficult because I have a tilted uterus). I remember waiting for the sonographer to find evidence of my pregnancy and feeling like a bit of a fraud, thinking that perhaps I had imagined it all...luckily, he was in there.

Congratulations on your pregnancy - you're almost at the end of the more worrying first trimester - lucky you! You'll soon be able to relax a bit more and enjoy the whole thing.

my cycle would have been about 35 days but my GP only added on one day to take that into account and at the 12 week scan they kept the same date...we'll see in a couple of months how accurate that is.

Congrats on your BFP

Congratulations!!!! :cheer:

My OH guessed I was pregnant before I had even tested due to my moods so I gues they can come at any stage! My moods and tears have calmed down a little bit now but everyone is different.

Hope you feel more settled soon

Hey CONGRATULATIONS! Great to have you hear! Don't worry from what I've read your emotions will calm down. I think the 1st Tri is notoriously bad for emotions and tiredness.

I just wanted to say congratulations because I realised I hadn't :D and yes I feel like this too!! I'm feeling better today though, the thought of spring coming is making me feel so happy and giddy (I need to get out more :rotfl:)
