Newbie: on CD 31 and keep getting BFNs

Hi Guys,

I am usually pretty regular at 28 days. I had my Coil (non hormone, just a copper one) removed April 1st (CD9) and we DTD every second day/night thereafter. I suspected I was pg about a week ago...this would be my third pregnancy...but have had a few BFNs on a variety of HPTs...including one this morning with first morning sample.

I spoke to the Dr who removed my coil, who says to assume i am pregnant until my period arrives. She offered to do a test on tuesday when i would be a week and a day late.

Any advice? has anyone tested negative for ages and then positive? When do you think i should test next if AF doesn't turn up. I just wish I knew one way or the other...

Until yesterday I was in the same position as you, on day 33 of my cycle! Unfortunately AF arrived!

Im not knowledgable of the coil, but as your doctor says until AF shows her ugly head, its got to be a positive thing!

I have read that some women have not had BFP's until they were 20+ days late....so give it a few more days and test again (or everyday if you are anything like me )! If AF doesnt by next Tues then have the blood test done by the doctor - I believe these are much more accurate than HPT's.

I shall keep my fingers crossed for you.

Sorry this wasn't your month, and lots of luck for next month.

I keep going to the loo and checking for blood. I also had a horrible dream last night where I was bleeding and bleeding and woke up feeling really distressed by it all.

I will try really hard not to test again until saturday, and keep my fingers crossed until then...

Had my coil taken out Feb 20th. Your body is probably still trying to adjust...give it another few days...my cycle was really strange last month after having my first AF w/o my coil...chin up.

My period arrived last night, and although i was upset I am feeling more positive today.

Going to try to focus on other things and be healthy and enjoy our sex life as it is...and just see what happens. I couldn't go through this every month so have to take off the ttc focus a bit and let nature and fate decide.
