DH and I aren't religious but we would like to celebrate Evan's arrival with a naming ceremony. We have a family friend who would be able to conduct this for us but I wanted to know if any of you ladies have had one for your LO and if so what you did and whether there are any readings/poems etc you can suggest.

Thanks xx

We had a baptism and a tea party afterwards, one of the God parents read this out

http://homepages.ius.edu/harrisla/places.htm

The book is one we have read to the baby right from when he was a bump and has a lovely meaning.

We did a wish tree as well, eveyone wrote a wish or hope for the baby on paper leaves, I have hand drawn a tree and glued tge leaves down and will frame it for his bedroom wall.

My baby is called Elias andI made cards with the letters of hus name down the side and people wrote something beside it
E enjoyable
L lovely
I interesting
A adorable
S sweet

Or some people wrote full sentences.

Just some nice keep sakes for the baby to look back on when he is older.
