Only just pregnant so plenty of time to ponder but a lot of my favourite names don't seem to sound right with my surname.

For a girl I wanted Mhyrren (pronounced mirren)

but my mum reckons that Mhyrren McGuinness sounds like a disease...

Anyone know any McGuinness's out there with good names? Male or female...

Thanks

I read somewhere once (a v. long time ago) that if you have a long or unusual surname, to try picking some letters out of the surname so the first name blends easier.

We're McCarthy-Allen, and our second is called Callum, the only name out of the three which doesn't sound stupid - Charlotte and Daniel :? . This ones going to be Eleanor (Ellie McCarthy-Allen) or Alexander. Better be a girl, cos I still think Alex sounds daft with our surname
