My nan bought me a pre-packed maternity bag for £20 through bounty.com and it has just arrived - I love presents! Woohoo!

For anyone else thinking of getting one it is actually pretty decent and has plenty of room for me to put my clothes in etc.

Will put some pics up when I get home later for anyone interested in getting one :)

*Edit* Pics and details in post #10

I saw this offer to and wasn't sure whether to go for it. Would love to see your pics!

Interested yes. My OH wanted to get me one, but I was worried over small / cheap products inside.

I have had to upload the pics to a photobucket account as they are too big to put on here directly but here ya go:

Let me know if you want to see anything up-close but the pack includes:

8 huggies newborn nappies
64 huggies baby wipes (can be used from birth)
8 nappy sacks
10 cotton wool balls
10 cotton wool buds
1 muslin cloth
1 hat
1 set scratch mittens
1 set breast pads
10 maternity nighttime pads
1 pack handy kleenex tissues
1 travel size body lotion
1 travel size shampoo & conditioner
1 travel size shower gel
1 flannel
1 travel size toothbrush and toothpaste
1 travel hair brush and mirror
1 lipbalm
1 travel size deodorant
1 notepad
1 pen
1 pack wrigleys spearmint gum

plus you also get a mama pregnancy pack which contains:
10 water wipes
1 wet wipe
1 sample pack non bio washing powder
1 sample pack granola honey nut
3 ginger hard candies
1 mao feng green tea teabag
1 packet pregnacare original vitamins
1 sample plamers cocoa firming butter
1 sample palmers cocoa butter bosy and face for men
plus a few info packs about baby related stuff

I think it was an absolute bargain for £20, get lots of hospital essentials and there is plenty of extra room and pockets to fit in everything you need to take :). I only have to add my clothes and clothes for baby and few bits and bobs like bottles and milk and I am pretty much done! I love feeling so organised!

It is bigger than it looks too, so if anyone has any concerns over size I will say that unless you are one of these people that takes a massive suitcase for an overnight trip then it is plenty big enough! I can't find the link through bounty anymore but you can order them directly: http://www.bagsofessentials.co.uk/flashsale.html I think they also have diff ones on ebay too.

That's so good!! Payday tomorrow so think I will definitely be ordering one :) xxx

Wowzers! I'm taking a small suitcase and a hold all for the babies! But then I will prob be in for a while, this would be perfect for a night stop!
Xxx

Yeah I am hoping my birth is straight forward and I am only in for one night max but if not I shall just send OH home to get more clothes lol x

Tbh unless your getting induced then chances are you will only be in a night or so, then just organise some piles of clothes etc so oh can just grab (men are rubbish at picking what to bring! Lol!)
Xxx

Yeah, I was thinking that to myself, will pack a back up bag just incase lol. Shockingly my hospital said they will likely send me home after 2 hours! x

I've been looking into getting one of these do you thing they are worth it?

xx

For me it was definitely worth it as 1. I didn't have a suitable weekend bag big enough and 2. By time you buy a bag, travel shampoo etc etc (don't want to be clogging up your bag space with full size bottles!) you would of spent £20 anyway probably. I was really pleased with mine :) x

Do we even need a maternity bag? I've been told most women are in and out the same day :)

I guess it depends if you have complications and need to stay in but either way you need to take some kind of bag as you will need nappies and clothes for baby and you will probably want a shower and change before leaving hosptial as you will be covered in sweat, blood and possibly even poo! I am planning on bottle feeding too so taking those with me as apparently you should feed baby within 1 hour of birth? x

I've ordered one of these - thanks H16! Looks ideal for use as a baby change bag as well :)
