I took her to the vet for a routine blood test but the vet noticed an absess on her gum and and then a huge lump on her jaw which wasnt there last month (she has monthly checks for diabetes). She said the absess is probably caused by an underlying tumour, which they wouldnt be able to do anything about anyway. She said she wasnt hopeful :( My cat Henrietta is on strong antibiotics and we are going back next week. I have a feeling we will be calling it a day next week

Thanks for your replies.

She is 19 years old so she has had a good life and has been much loved.

She has been on lots of medication for the last 4 years now so it may be a relief for her, I hope so anyway.

O no hun

But like you say its not nice for her to suffer :(

   for you
