:yay: :yay: :yay:

Kayden slept for 10 hours last night!!

Yesterday he woke at 7am & only had a 45min nap all day, he had bath & bottle at 7 & was really crabbit coz he was so tired & wouldn't settle, at 9pm I gave him another bottle, he had 1oz then fell asleep. At around 1am I was getting organised for bed, heard him starting to stir & making wee noises so I thought he'd be up soon for his bottle, so I didn't bother getting my jammies on, just jumped into bed in normal clothes coz I thought i'd be up in half an hour, & was going 2 get changed after, but next thing I know my alarm is going off at 7 & he's slept through.

I wish I'd went to bed at 9 & I could have got 10 hours sleep but I got 6, which is the longest i've slept for 3 months (couldn't sleep at end of pregnancy)

Hope its not just a fluke!

:)

Thanks chick, i've been feeling really down recently (nothing to do with LO - just so much going on in life & i've been feeling really emotional) the lack of sleep hasn't been helping so I see this as a sign that things might get better for me

:)

Aw that's fab!! I hope he keeps it up for you! Both mine have slept thru since 6 weeks and it really was a godsend!!

Sent from my spammy iPhone using Tapatalk - it's got a mind of it's own!

Great news hunny, fingers crossed your little star keeps up the great work and gives mummy the rest you need :hugs: x x

Thanks ladies, its the small things that matter eh!

No doubt he'll be up every hour tonight to make up for it

aww how cool is that! My little man slept 6 hours last night for the first time, and I am feeling sooo good today! Hope it wasn't just a one night thing!

Thats great! I'm sooooo jealous! Starting to think Kynon is the only baby who doesnt want to sleep thro from our tri 3! I've given up trying now, resigned myself to 2 hourly feeds till he's weaned!

oh sarah!! i'm almost positive he'll go a bit longer soon, did you not say he slept 4 hours one night with a bottle? How have you been getting on with the bottles & expressing, maybe thats the way forward?

He wont go on like that forever. Defo not.

:hugs:

Yeah he went 4 hours one night then back to normal! He does sleep but not for a long time in one go! Not sure what else I can try, I'm just trying to remember that he was a bit early so perhaps he's not ready to go for longer yet, another week and he will be 6 weeks adjusted age so maybe he will be more settled then, got a feeling he's having a growth spurt this week as his baby grows have all suddenly got a bit short! Hope Kayden goes through again for you tonight x

Hope your little man is being a good boy for mummy again tonight.
How are you feeling now hunny? Im here if you need a chat x x

Sarah - Kayden & Kynon are around the same real age if you think about it (adjusted age) & Kayden is still feeding every 3 hours during the day, & he doesn't skip one feed...sometimes he even wants it every 2 1/2 hours during the day so i'd say Kynon is about right feeds wise, only thing is he doesn't know he's meant to sleep longer at night. Its harder when BF'ing just remember what a good thing your doing & that will keep you going!

Thanks M2A I duno whats up with me, we're moving house in Jan & there's so many issues & stresses about it - so many decisions to be made & tbh i'm not emotionally stable enough to be making them, & that with the lack of sleep ect. The school run is also a big drain on my energy today it took 2 hours to do the drop off & 2 hours to do the pick up & its the same every day & I need 2 do it myself with buggy as no car & OH is at work. Just really feeling it the last few days been crying over the slightest thing, cried the other day coz kayden woke literally the second i got under the covers...

Today however, has been a good day i've been in a really good mood & im sure the longer sleep has helped. Its now 3am Kayden fussed again tonight at bedtime & once again hardly slept all day (about 2 hours) but he eventually went down at 9pm & hasn't woke since, I should really be in bed, but was up finding out about the schools we've got 80mph winds & a storm hitting tomoz & all Glasgow city schools are closed, they just announced it just now...at bloody 3 in the morning....

Sorry for the moan there girls loool - i'm cancelling my 7am alarm just now & it feels great.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Ooh what a great feeling canceling your 7am alarm :) x x

I'm so happy for you but also very jealous at the same time. Can Kayden come and teach E how to sleep properly. Ever since her growth spurt, she has been waking every hour at nights for a feed. I have even resorted to sleeping on the lounge as walking upstairs wakes her up and she won't sleep again till after her next feed. :(

Sounds like your having a hard time, your school run sounds so draining this time of year. Sometimes really wish we all lived near each other! Hope Kayden slept ok, you should try to get some sleep earlier in the night. Kynon fussed between 6 and midnight, can't believe he was awake so long! Then did his normal 2 hourly waking, and fussed then too, got his jabs today so I'm guessing tonight will be worse! He also has a big scratch on his head he must have done! Can't believe your daughters school left it till 3 am to cancel! It's not too bad here yet! Least that means no school run today!

How did Kynon go with his jags?

Kayden woke not long after i typed my msg last night..around 3.30 went straight back down, woke at 7 then again at 9. Has slept an hour since & is now having another wee nap.

Didn't get measured or anything coz HV didn't come, she cancelled coz they've all been told to go home, plus alot of roads closed.

:)

Well hurricane Bawbag def here now too, just cos I'm in and out all day, bridge is shut which is rare! Just back from his jabs, it was horrible, I've never heard him cry like that, made me cry too, he's sleeping now though so I guess he's ok just now.

He'll be fine, even tho my 7 yo cried when she got hers, it didn't effect her sleep wise or crying or anything.

Wish bawbag would get tae....seriously sick of hearing the hissing noise thro my windows

:wall2:

I know it's so noisy! Keep thinking the power is going to go as the lights keep flicking. Got to venture out in it again soon to take my DD to guitar lesson, the joys of motherhood!
