I should have known this would give me a whole other thing to worry about!

I'm 20 weeks today. Started to feel flutterings about 2 weeks ago, then last week kicking down low on my cervix. Quite routine - I would always feel it around the same kind of day - in the evening for about half an hour.

Now the last few days hardly anything, apart from a 30 minute spell yesterday lunchtime when I was getting quite hard kicks higher up (not hard enough to feel outside).

I think I'm working myself up as I have my scan this week and am petrified something will be wrong, but how often am I supposed to be feeling movement?

Hey Gemsy, I don't know how often you're meant to feel it but I'm pretty sure that it's not meant to be something you monitor until further on. I had a quiet couple of days the last two days but still hear his/her heartbeat galloping away each morning with the doppler so I'm sure everything is fine. We're probably quite lucky to feel anything this early on :) x

Hi, my book says not to Count movemet untill 28 weeks then it should be regular, but someone told
Me 24 weeks, i wouldnt worry to much about it, your placenta could be anterior, whichcould be cushioning movement, mines anterior on the front and ive felt flutters from 16 weeks, and now feel Kicks from outside, i feel them most days but have some quieter days, sometimes wont feel her all day, but i no my placenta is cushioning alot of the movement, i use my doppler still occasionally, i usually feel most kicks on my right side near belly button so when i dont feel
Her much i think shes hiding behind placenta, i really wouldnt worry if i were you like i say untill abit further on, and your scan this week will show where placenta etc isxx
