when the babies born my mother in law has got it into her head that the baby will be at her house all the time  and will be staying nearly every weekend. i can see her trying to take over and telling me what to do :(

how can i get it into her head without being nasty that i want to be a mum to my baby without her interfearing

my ex mother in law takes charlie and ethan every friday night and brings them back saturday afternoon, im so greatful to her for doing it, its a lovely break

xxx

just explain the in the for seeable future u want to spend as much time as poss with bubs but say ur more than willing to take lil one to see her at weekends -- for a few hours.

maybe shes thinking more when its older not practical when they are babies as she would have to have all the stuff at her house, trust me that when she offers you'll be glad of a break but you can still control when and how long she cant exactly stop you from leaving after a visit etc!

i didnt mean to sound nasty about her but i just dont want to be controled

I always use the excuse that I'm breastfeeding so she can't spend too long away from me but my MIL is fab and takes Seren for a walk once a week so we can have a break :D
