moses basket mattress

my moses basket has recently arrived and i am bit worried about the mattress which came with it. there seems to be a bit of a gap around the mattress and the edge of the basket. is this normal/safe?

Where did u get it from? I'm sure there isn't meant to be any gap mine fits really tightly inside the basket can u post a picture? Xx

My mamas and papas one looks like it has nearly 1cm either side but that's the shape of it it's more curved than square. Don't think it'll do any harm.

Mothercare sell one for £10 if you think the mattress is too small.

My Moses basket has a bit of a gap round it, think its cause its quite long and thin and its a custom sized mattress x

me too I was worried abt the gap but been reassured by a few ppkl its fine, was also concerned as it seemed very thin but again my mums thinks its fine. mine was from clare de lune x

Same here. Mine seems small for the basket. Both came from John Lewis.xx
