Hi everyone, Im new to this forum.

I am now 10 weeks pregnant and in 2006 i had already had MMR at my local GP and till August 2009, my record showed that I still immuned to MMR. Having said that, on 28 August 2009, I decided to ask the nurse to up my MMR and she agreed to give me that day with the reason that I would go back to my country at the beginning of september and worried in case I couldn't get the jab in my country.

But on 5 October I found that my self pregnant and I have been worried so far as I ever read that women should wait at least 4 months after being given MMR before deciding to get pregnant.

what I want to ask..

will the recent MMR given to me affect my baby?
or it will not affect my baby considering that I still immuned to MMR before I got the top up.

Please everyone.. help me.

Thanks.

So far on my record showed that

I dont know anything about this at all. I'd say it's worth talking to your Dr but TBH at this point there's not much they can do. The MMR is generally seen to be a very safe vaccine so I dont think you need to worry

Im not to sure hun, but didnt want to read and run, as said above, i'd speak to your doctor, it will put your mind at ease.

Welcome to the forum aswel :)

I would just ask your dr hun although I'd be fairly sure everything will be fine :)

Welcome to Pregnancy Forum by the way :D

i agree perhaps talking to your gp, but i'm sure the guidelines are just super cautious and everything is fine. welcome

I've had my MMR jabs twice and am still not immune, was ment to have it again after having my son but they and I forgot and now I'm pregnant again. I know they won't do it if they know you are pregnant...

However, LO doesn't get much from you for the first 8 weeks when the placenta starts working (which is why GPs tell you not to worry if you drank heavily etc before finding out you were pregnant) ... not sure if this counts for the MMR as well. As the others have said probably best to ring your GP.
