Had my appointment with the midwife today at 17 weeks and everything was fine, BP fine, no swelling, trace protein in my urine but midwife said its nothing to worry about and got to hear baby's heartbeat although it took AGES for her to find it I was starting to panic I nearly took it off her to find myself as I find it straight away! Also there was some thudding on the Doppler which midwife says is the baby moving and yet I hardly feel anything yet!
All booking bloods were fine, I have to hand in urine samples every month as I have silent UTIs so glad that precaution is being taken.
Also had a blood sample taken to test for toxoplasmosis after my scare in the garden a few days ago so pleased midwife done it but says she thinks the risk will be very low so I'm pleased. Wonderful midwife even though she is just a stand in as mine was away on a study day!
