Hi all, sorry to not have been in touch. It's been a busy week in a funny way - lots to do but also quite relaxed as we settle in as a new family!
Mia Alice was born on Sat morning, 1 week early, 6lb 9oz. I'll post my birth story but it was very straightforward - waters broke Wed night, went into established labour Fri lunchtime, hospital by 5, managed first stage with TENS (fantastic!) and had epidural when things weren't progressing and they put me on a drip (also fantastic and very quick after that, only 4 hours or so inc 15 mins pushing)
We were home the following day, the hospital was excellent and wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else, or to have hoped for better care, but it was noisy and was glad to be off the ward. Now a very content family of 3, Mia is gorgeous and very placid and settles easily, feeding very well indeed and giving us an easy time so far.
