Hi there,
My hubby and I have been trying to conceive now for about 18 months - without success.
We're not too downhearted because we know it takes some couples a fair while, but we are starting to think that it might be a good idea to consult medical advice.

I've had a look on the Family Planning website, but they seem only to have clinics for contraceptive or STD advice. Do we just go to our GP, or is there some kind of chain of private clinics we don't know about?

I think all we need are fertility tests to put our minds at ease...

Thanks a lot!

I went to see my gp who then refered me to the hospital.
Turnedout as soon as we were accepted onto the IVF list though I didn;t need it.

Hi

You just need to go to your GP. You usually need a GP referal for fertility clinics anyway. We had to get a referal from our doctor even though we were going to a private clinic.

Good luck.

Thank you very much to the two Michelles! I'll make an appointment now I think, we may as well put ourselves out of our misery quick sharp if there's something wrong...
