me, my mum & grandmother miscarried ... coincidence??

Hiya... I have a six month daughter called Niamh and im expecting again. But before Niamh, i miscarried twins... i always knew my mum miscarried many times but i recently discovered my grandmother had many miscarriages too. I know miscarriages are fairly common so is this just coincidence ???
My thoughts go out to all of u that have gone through a miscarriage

ive read misscarriages happens to about 50% of women. Most never even realising they were pregnant to them it was just a late period. I think if we all looked back in family history we will find out it happened a lot. But the older generation tend not to talk about things like that! Ive never heard that it runs in the family.
