no i havnt heard this, i was off on mat leave untill 3months ago i only got 6months off but now im back at work i work for a better company (BT) and i get 1yr off paid so im lucky

Thats good then! I work for Next and you get 6 months paid and 6 months unpaid! I was thinking of taking a year off (not certain at the min)! If this is the new law its better getting paid for nine months athn 6!

Sorry to disappoint you, but this doesn't come in until April 2007.

Won't help any of us I'm afraid. (well not with this baby anyway!! _

yeah it comes into effect in april 2007 ( new tax year ) but it can also be split between u and your partner but not at the same time - eg, you could take 6 months off and then ur partner cud take the 3 months off after that - something like that anyway

ild love to b able to split it, cuz i well loked 4ward to goin bk to wrk wen i was off on mat leave with dior, but i felt to bad leavin her, it is bad the way men get nothin... does any one no what the law is regarding men?? do they get any paid tim off cuz last time kris took one week hol
