mastitis- anti-b's affecting milk taste

Hello ladies,

Just been diagnosed with mastitis (gutted after 6months!), and prescribed fluxocillin. Just fed little lady from the bad boon, and she fed, but really cried after. She's not really a crier, and is a great feeder, so it was odd. Just seen on Google, that it can affect the taste of your milk? I know a few ladies on here have had mastitis, and just wondered if you found this?

I am not sure about fluxocillin, i was given.erythromycin and lil man was reluctant to drink from affected breast only but infection can change the taste

I read it was the infection that can alter the taste, but my babies didvnt seem bothered.

Ye I've heard mastitis can effect the taste but I'm not sure about antibiotics. But if she will feed from it I believe it's good to help clear infection. Hope you're ok xxx

Not sure about taste either - but I was given Clarithromycin for tonisilitis and my milk dried up?
