Well I finally did it 
so here's my story sorry its so late .
As most of you are probley aware i went to my routine antenatal appointment on Monday 16.07.07 and they decided to admitt me due to my blood pressure been too high along with my blood glucose levels .
After a long talk with my consultant she informed me that my little girl need to be born as soon as possible so they booked me in to be induced on Thursday 19.07.07 which would mean i would be 37 weeks and 1 day .
So on the Thursday i was sent down to the labour ward to be induced but i had to spent Monday to the Thursay morning up on the ward for close monitoring they started my induction off as soon as i got down there , because my waters hadnt broke i had to have a prostin tablet inserted to losen my cervix after 6 hours they examined me and my cervix were not open enough to brake my waters so i had to have my second lot of prostin tablet .
After yet another 6 hours my cervix still hadnt opened enough so then my MW had to ask a docter to come and see me to see if they would prescribe me a third lot of prostin as a docter could only prescribe it me and they dont normal give a third lot .
So the docter came and prescribed me yet another lot another 6 hours went by and i was examined yet again and my cervix still hadnt opened enough so she booked me in for a section .
I was told there would be a wait for my section as there were alot booked in before me but that was fine i didnt mind the wait .
So after a couple of hours of waiting the docter informed my MW that he wanted her to examine me again as it had been a couple of hours and my cervix could have opened up ., so she examined me and said if they had been open alittle bit more then she would have been able to have broke my waters but with my consent she could have a try as she prefered me to have had a natural labour then to have a section .
So she tried to brake my waters with alittle help from another MW i had one MW trying to brake my waters and another pushing down on top of my bellly after about 10 mins of trying it final happened my waters had been broken so they had to cancel my section
.
After all of that i was introduced to another lot of MWs as they were changing shifts so i had a senior MW and a student one .
This is when it all began i was wired to a drip to start my contractions and then i was wired to a slide and scale (another drip with insulin and glucose) .
After awhile i start having contractions but i managed fine without any pain relief but i was suffering with really bad back pain and the MW said it was because baby was back to back so i had some co codamol (sp?) that took the edge of the back pain for a while but then it was as though someone had pushed a button and it got even worse this is when i asked for a bit more pain relif so i asked for gas and air but that did nothing so i asked for something stronger and thats when i had pethadine which made me very sleepy .
I must have dosed off for about 15 mins and then its as though the pethadine didnt work at this point my contractions got bad and i stated to the MW that if it wasnt for the back ache i would be fine .
My MW then examined me and said i was only 4 cms gone so she asked me if i wanted a epidural and i said yes as i couldnt cope with the back pain any longer and everything else i was having wasnt working .
So i had the epidural almost straight away as there wasnt a wait .
After 30 mins i felt the urge to push so i told the MW and she looked at me as if i was thick , she said you have along way to go yet and that i was not to push as it wasnt the final stage .
So i started shouting at her im telling ya i need to push so she said ok wendy carm down and let me examine you again so she examined me and shouted for the student MW in another room .
I asked what was going on and she said i need you to lye on your side i can see the babys head .
So i lay on my side as the MW said the baby was in the wrong position and by lying on my side she would turn .
Soon enough she had turned and after 5 pushes she was born at 05:28am on the 21.07.07 .
I was told that i was in labour for i think it was 4 or 5 hours and that i had gone from 4cms to 10cms in about 1 hr which was very quick .
Every was straight forward but because my little girl was born so quick she got brusied coming out
.
She was born weighing in at 7lbs 2ozs and was 51cms in lengh
After the birth we were sent up to the ward where i was told she was abit jaundice but could go home on the sunday as everything was straight forward with the birth.
Before we went my little girl was checked my pedatricains (sp?) and they said the jaundice was ok and that we could go home.
So we went home and on the monday we were visited by the MW and she said that we need to go back up the hospital ASAP as she shouldnt have been aloud home as she was too jaundice so we went to the hospital they ran some test and they came back that she need to be treated for jaundice .
The docter prepared me for the worst outcome and informed me that there is a small chance she could be brain damaged if the tests came back too high but they came back as high but not too high that she would be affected .
So they put her in a billie bear bed and the only time she could come out of it was for feeding and changing .
After a day they preformed the same test to see if the jaundice levels had dropped but instead of dropping they were rising so they had to put her in an incubator with the blue lights and the only time we could take her out of there was too feed her .
It broke my heart to see my little girl lying in there so helpless but in another way it made me so angry that she was given the all clear to go home.
I know its wrong but all i can think is what if the MW hadnt have come or noticed that they should have kept her in .
Anyway shes now home and im loving every moment of been a mum.
I wouldnt change it for the world i just sit there for hours watching her sleep and feed .
If anyone asked if i would do it again the answer is YES everytime
I cant believe that shes mine .
I left the room the other day to the toilet and my hubby was in the kitchen making a feed and she was crying in her chair i came down and she was go herself that worked up i started cryecause she was upset .
Anyway that enough of me going on heres some pics some might be too upsetting for some people as they still are for me as they are when shes in the incubator .
