Low blood count

Just had a letter after my bloods, and it says I might need ironbut can anyone tell me what the result means?
It says Hb 12 feritin ( I think this is the word, bad handwriting!) 9(LO)

well Hb 12 is your hemoglobin result, but 12 is a healthy level so i dont know why they would say you need iron. they usually make you take iron if you Hb is lower than 11 in pregnancy.... dont know what that random word is though lol

I was 9 and got given iron tablets recently.

My hb was 6 and I had to have a blood transfusion!! I'm sure iron tablets will sort you out xx

Thank you my1st, you have been helpful! I'm not too worried then, I had a break from my pregnacare tabs as I ran out for 2 weeks, I got new pack like a day after bloods so not worried.
How did you get so low cosmic? X
